Traveling Though the Blues
Blue, how many of us have said it was our favorite color at some time in our lives?
We love sapphire, cerulean, ultramarine, indigo, turquoise lapis lazuli; each color is similar yet subtle differences evoke different feelings when we see them. Blue also has many different meanings. It is a feeling of despondence, depression, misery, or gloom. In addition to feelings of despair blue is associated with depth and stability: it stands for trust, loyalty, wisdom, faith or confidence. Each of the paintings in this series are painted to intentionally portray one of the aspects of blue.We sing the blues. We play the blues. We have the blues. We see the blues. We travel the blues every single day of our lives.
