Counteraction; any action in opposition to a previous action
I am an abstract artist, and my work typically reflects the world around us. I generally create interpretations of nature and other subject matter which appeals to me, inspires me, or interests me. For the most part, my work is meant to bring a feeling of peacefulness or, in contrast, excitement to the viewer. People usually appreciate my work because they see something they can relate to or something which draws them in. Accomplishing this feeling of getting away from the real world is usually my goal when I create my work, until now...
Recent events in the world and our country have led me to create this new series. It is not typical of my work, but the different brushstrokes and atypical palette work together to make a statement and help me to lessen my frustration... sort of.
