Every blade of grass, every tree trunk, every petal, and every feather; all examples of perfection. A close look at each type of flora or fauna reveals an unparalleled symmetry painted by Mother Nature as she sings her song of perfection. It is that perfection which prompts artists to grab their favorite instrument and strive to copy what they observe.
While I admire the ability of artists to realistically recreate representations of the flora, fauna, and landscape in the wildlife habitats of our various natural areas, it is not my personal goal. Why mess with perfection? I find it more stimulating to take bits and pieces of the flora, fauna and surrounding landscape and create unique abstract representations of what I observe. That is how I show my appreciation of the beauty and wonder our gorgeous wildlife habitats have to offer.
